North East Living magazine showcases the region.

With 5000 copies printed every edition, North East Living magazine’s mix of high quality presentation, geographical spread of stories and wide variety of topics is proving a winner for North East Media.

Editor, Jeff Zeuschner said the 108 page magazine is popular in this region as it has a lot to showcase.

“We’re looking for people stories, stories on different areas of interest, including events, local producers and sport. We cover the north east, the Border, the Alpine valleys, right through to Mansfield; reaching a different and broader audience than any of our other publications.

“North East Living is completely produced by our existing staff. The format allows us to show off our photography and design talent and our journalists get to write a different type of story to that which they normally produce for our newspapers.

“In addition to showcasing the region, the magazine meets the demand for a more glossy product and gives us the opportunity to present higher visual values than the newspapers allow.

“These are positive, human interest, community-type stories that come with strong visuals. We feature a town in each edition and events for the next few months.”

The Beechworth gorge and Bridge Road Brewery featured in the December 2017 edition. There were also stories of the people behind the Rutherglen Estates’ Aboriginal art exhibitions gallery and members of the Ovens Valley Horseriders’ Association.

North East Media has been producing the magazine for two years. There are three editions a year and the seventh edition is being released this month (April).

“Mostly people like to buy them and have a physical copy but you can also get an online subscription,” Mr Zeuschner said.
